Parent Information

Session Details

To enrol your child at Blackwood Kindergarten please contact one of our staff.

Children at Blackwood Kindergarten are organised into two groups, the Magpies and the Rosella's.

Below are the times for both groups.

Magpies
Monday and Tuesday:	8.30am – 2.30pm
Wednesday AM:	8.30am – 11.30am

Rosella's
Thursday and Friday:	8.30am – 2.30pm
Wednesday PM:	12.00 noon – 3.00pm

Playgroup

Playgroup is held for under 5s on Saturday's 9.00am to 10.30am. Cost is $3 per family. Bring a hat, water bottle and fruit to share.

Fees

Public kindergartens in South Australia are administered by the Department for Education and Child Development (DECD). Our kindergarten receives some money from DECD to pay teaching salaries and to assist some with day to day running costs.

We still rely heavily on fees and fundraising to cover the costs of consumables, new equipment, and to maintain a high quality learning environment for the children.

Fees are set by the Governing Council and are invoiced at the beginning of each term.

Term Fee: Flat fee for up to 15 hrs preschool per week $150 per term. Includes lunch care supervision and Nature Kindy program in Terms 2 & 3.

Transition Fees Term 4 for enrolling children $60. Includes Kindergarten logoed sun smart bucket hat approved by Cancer Council Aus. Re-usable Litter Free lunch wrap and snack pocket to support Kindergarten Sustainability policy.

Playgroup $3 per family per session.

This is a flat fee per term, even if parents choose not to access their child’s full entitlement of 15 hours per week. Please see the Director for a confidential discussion if there is a family circumstance of financial hardship.
